I had such an amazing experience in project with Think Pacific! It was the best thing I could have done on my university experience and so happy I have done it!! There is so much support and guidance before and during the project to make sure that you are prepared for village life.

Experiencing the passion that Fijian’s have for their own cultural roots, I felt that the more you got involved with cultural activities the more you get out of the experience itself. I also loved getting involved with Sport in Fiji, sports like Rugby surrounds Fiji like another language to Fijian’s so to have the freedom to simply join in after school days was brilliant. My biggest highlights was growing the bond that I had with my Fijian family over the course of project, when you spend so much time with certain people you only realise towards the end of project how special bonds become and I believe everyone should have the opportunity to have that experience.

From the small daily interactions with the Fijian community, to those life changing moments. As a team, we grew so close and as a village we bonded as one big family.  There’s not enough time to say all we achieved and experienced, but I will keep those memories throughout my life. Fiji is a truly amazing place and I’ve had the time of my life.

By far the best thing I have ever done! Not only was I able to visit an incredible part of the world, I was able to really immerse myself in the culture and help a lot of people out while doing so. By far the furthest thing from Volun-tourism I have come across and something I will cherish for life! I was able to meet some friends that I have still kept in contact with. You all become so close during the four weeks and they really do become your family. I really made friends for life on this trip. The Think Pacific staff are phenomenal at organising and reassuring you both before and during the trip. Not once did I feel unsure of things or unsafe, which was hugely important to me when picking a trip. 

Think Pacific were fantastic in integrating the volunteers into village life. Being in a rural community, I truly felt like I was a part of their family and daily activities due to the welcoming and open atmosphere. The month spent in Fiji has truly stuck with me daily through the life lessons learnt by the Fijians and my team. Think Pacific make a real effort in ensuring that there is a team bond built to ensure that the aims of the project are fulfilled but also that you as a volunteer have the best time. 

Think Pacific is an amazing organisation. Prior to departure the staff were friendly and always helpful. During the project I learnt so much about the Fijian way of life which is not only inspiring but very interesting. The days are very busy, there is always something to do and that is what makes the trip so worthwhile and fun. Leaving the village was such a sad day as we formed such a tight bond with the community.
