Discovery Phase

At Think Pacific we are passionate about learning first. For us, this means having a comprehensive understanding of Fijian people, their culture and their history, alongside your chosen field of internship but in the context of the Fiji Islands. Only then can we hope to have a culturally-sound and sustainable impact. This is something our interns always throw themselves into and building their understanding for a unique and complex country is often a highlight at the end of the program.

What to Expect Each Week

With ample weekly live content you will have plenty of opportunities to boost your learning and experience. Some of the things to look out for:

  • Weekly briefings to kick things off
  • Professional Guest Speakers
  • Past volunteers, interns and staff sharing their stories and career advice
  • Question and answer sessions
  • Cultural Learning
Action Projects

Our Action Projects are where you can really leave your impact. Work on real challenges for real organisations in Fiji. From government ministries to community-level start-ups, our organisations come with a range of projects so there is certainly going to be one to suit you.

When choosing an action project we ask our interns to consider three things:

  1. Are there any skills you want to work on or new ones to challenge yourself with?
  2. What are you career aspirations? Which organisations and action projects are a step towards that?
  3. What are you passionate about? Find an organisation that really resonates with you!
