The Turing Scheme is the UK government’s initiative to provide funding for international opportunities in education and training across the world. The scheme facilitates thousands of students each year to access valuable experiential learning opportunities that enhance employability and broaden their world perspectives.
Our programmes are designed to meet the requirements and budgets of the scheme, to ensure that the following costs are fully covered for students: accommodation, in-country travel, food, flights, placement and itinerary & field trips.
Think Pacific has provided over 1000 overseas placements under the Turing Scheme. If you’re wondering how to organise a fully-funded work experience project for your learners, please don’t hesitate to reach out and arrange a meeting.
Request a Meeting
Reach out to discuss our programmes with a Partnership Director.
Since 2009, Think Pacific has built a reputation as an award winning provider of global programmes for educational institutions, creating close and trusted working relationships with FE and HE staff.
We’re passionate about providing transformational experiences for learners that bridge the gap between education and work, whilst supporting institutions to achieve outbound mobility aims within their international strategy.
The first step is to arrange a meeting with one of our Partnership Directors. We will discuss your programme objectives, share our experiences of the Turing Scheme and international programme delivery and provide relevant case studies of existing partnerships.
We will work with our international teams in Bali or Fiji to design specific programme/s for your learning objectives, create a selection of unique itineraries and send you information to discuss with your Senior Leadership Team before moving forward.
We will support your college to gain UK Government Turing Funding to ensure your project is funded for learners. Think Pacific will provide core content and documents to assist your college in writing a successful proposal. Alternatively, we can manage the entire process and apply for funding on your behalf.
Think Pacific’s Partnership Manager will host a meeting with you to guide you through a promotional plan so you can easily share the project amongst your learners. This can include college presentations or online presentations delivered by us, email content, blog content, a specific webpage, programme documents or flyers for you to use.
We will work with you every step of the way to support your learners. This can include arranging application interviews with students, undertaking risk assessments and completing health and safety requirements, supporting you in arranging flights and leading pre-departure preparation sessions.
Our staff will be at the airport to greet you and your learners upon arrival! Think Pacific provides 24/7 support, guiding each day and ensuring a smooth programme from start to finish. Each day of the itinerary will be delivered by our team. We shall also undertake all necessary post-project reporting for the Turing Scheme.
We guide projects from 14 days to 2 months that offer students the chance to experience life in a traditional village, whilst working alongside local people on inspiring initiatives which support local and Government aims.
For A-Level Students – in Bali, Indonesia 🇮🇩
Are you a staff member at a Sixth Form college looking for a multi-disciplinary programme that can help A-level students bridge the gap between further education and university? Our Global Citizen Programme has been designed to be super accessible and supports students to develop their global perspectives, increase skills and confidence and help them to discover their passions through exciting real-world experiences.
Students have the incredible opportunity to live in a traditional Balinese village with a team of fellow students, whilst supporting our hand-picked network of Bali-based businesses, social enterprises and charities to develop practical and sustainable solutions to current challenges.
Our aim is to assist FE institutions with the implementation of the Gatsby Benchmarks and Skills Builder Partnership by providing an international work-based learning experience that leaves learners with a set of experiences, personal attributes and transferable skills, which can positively impact their future both personally and professionally.
Students consistently return home with new perspectives, a heightened appreciation for their subject and a unique insight into the wealth of career opportunities ahead of them.
- Enrichment: We provide opportunities that expand student enrichment aligned to the Skills Builder Partnership. Enabling learners to develop their character, including resilience, confidence and independence.
- Work Readiness: Our bespoke programmes are aligned with the achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks by linking the curriculum to a work-based learning experience that will support learners’ career prospects. From improving their work or university applications to providing encounters with employers and employees and facilitating experiences in workplaces.
- Civic Responsibility: Learners develop and/or improve their understanding of sustainability, global citizenship and cultural intelligence by completing a programme.

As a registered charity in Fiji and an Indonesian social enterprise, we invest in locally-led initiatives and the capacity building of local people. Our sustainability measures include using only local suppliers, investing in our local staff team, providing local job creation and training; adding capacity to local organisations and expanding the professional skills and global understanding of students and youths in rural communities. Through our Foundation, we support local charities and community groups in our network with resources, donations and support. Areas we support include public health promotion, mental health services, youth training and education, community cyclone preparedness, environmental protection and enterprise creation.
