Summer Volunteering in Fiji
Looking for a summer that you’ll always cherish? Hate the thought of just lying on a beach for a few weeks? We are thrilled you have found us! Throw yourself into a challenging and adventurous summer program to the heart of the Fiji Islands. Make a real contribution to sustainable goals and expand your understanding of the world. Sound better than a package holiday? Wonderful. It’s the project your meaningful summer was made for.
Our most popular project. A huge expedition! You’ll be amazed by how much you learn and how much we achieve over the month in Fiji. You’ll return home having empowered the local youth group, gained a Fijian family, experienced village life and with stories you’ll be talking about for years.
Our most challenging and rewarding program! This means deeper connections, bigger rewards and huge immersion into Fijian culture. Our two month summer projects are so often such a life changing experience for our volunteers, and we have very limited places available.
My Think Pacific project, submersed in the Fijian culture, was one of the most inspirational and five weeks of my life. I met the most incredible friends and I now have a beautiful Fijian family on the other side of the world that I will never forget.
I spent one month volunteering in the Tailevu province. It was by far the most incredible, inspiring and rewarding experience of my life! I was very nervous leading up to the project but as soon as I met my team leaders and the rest of the volunteers, any sort of doubt went away instantly. Living with a Fijian family in its most true form was undoubtedly one of the project highlights. Having the chance to live and learn a totally unique culture from the people themselves is an experience that cannot be achieved anywhere else except for Fiji. I now understand what past volunteers meant when they said your Fijian family become much more than hosts, they truly are my second family!
By far the best thing I have ever done! Not only was I able to visit an incredible part of the world, I was able to really immerse myself in the culture and help a lot of people out while doing so. By far the furthest thing from Volun-tourism I have come across and something I will cherish for life! I was able to meet some friends that I have still kept in contact with. You all become so close during the four weeks and they really do become your family. I really made friends for life on this trip. The Think Pacific staff are phenomenal at organising and reassuring you both before and during the trip. Not once did I feel unsure of things or unsafe, which was hugely important to me when picking a trip. All of the group leaders are past volunteers, so you know they’ve been in your position which is really reassuring when you’re having a down day!

Gap year students, school leavers, university students, graduates, young career breakers and people with a desire to fill their summer holidays with something so much more enriching and adventurous than two weeks in the sun! Our projects are for people who want to see the ‘real Fiji’, make new friends, challenge themselves and make a real contribution. You’ll need a desire to experience back to basics conditions and live as local people do, rather than relaxing by the hotel pool. You’ll need to embrace a new culture and roll up your sleeves to contribute to something bigger. The opportunity to have an extended break from day to day life doesn’t last forever and we know people regret it, if they let it slip away, especially once the big climb up the career ladder begins. Whether you are due a career break, are waiting to start university, wanting to make the most of a long university holiday or taking an adventure after graduation – take your chance to do something extraordinary! Volunteer in Fiji with Think Pacific and our program will test you, develop your skills and provide rewards, pride and unique memories that will stay with you long after your summer has ended.
We only do team projects. Join a team of up to 20 like-minded students and instantly become part of a new group of friends as you share something special together. The bonds you make on your program will last a life-time.
Volunteering on your summer break is one of the most purposeful and rewarding things you can do. Our expeditions are partnered with the Fijian Government which means you are supporting national aims and objectives.
Our programs are certainly no holiday. It’s a real challenge. It’s been said that life begins at the edge our comfort zone. You’ll come home with more confidence, new leadership skills and a greater global understanding.
Live at the heart of some of the most rural communities and immerse yourself into local village life, where everyday is an adventure. If you’re looking for the ultimate adventure on your summer break then Fiji is waiting to be explored.
Our volunteer projects are guided with 24/7 care and dedication. Fiji is all we know and love. From our experienced leaders who guide your project each day to our management team in Fiji and the UK, you’ll receive unrivalled support.
So many of our volunteers state their experiences in Fiji are ‘life changing’ and they meet people they’ll stay in touch with forever. You’ll broaden your horizons and forever be proud that you accomplished something so unique.
