Programme Manager - Based in Chiang Mai
This is an opportunity to make a vital impact in the planning and creation of a new projects for international students visiting Chiang Mai. The role requires an individual who is diligent, has strong organisational skills, is flexible to adapt to changing needs, able to communicate effectively, and show care and sensitivity.
The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing or managing tours, experiences, study tours, internships or travel for international visitors to Thailand. Crucial to the role is the ability to innovate new concepts, manage others and professionally network with Thai organisations, partners and third parties as we carefully plan and coordinate the logistics.
Role Overview
Think Pacific is in a growth phase, and we seek a dynamic leader to oversee programme design, staff management, and operations. You will work closely with senior management to establish and deliver international student programmes, ensuring high-quality experiences and strong local partnerships. The role involves project planning, team recruitment and training, operational logistics, and participant support. From April to May 2025, the focus will be on research, planning, and training. From May to August, you will oversee programme delivery, ensuring smooth operations, staff management, and impact evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Development: Design and implement Think Pacific’s Thailand-based mobility programme.
- Operations & Logistics: Oversee transport, accommodation, meals, and cultural activities.
- Partnership Development: Build relationships with local businesses, universities, and communities.
- Staff Recruitment & Training: Support hiring, training, and management of a Thai and international team.
- Project Delivery: Lead day-to-day operations, participant support, and troubleshooting.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure health & safety, safeguarding, and crisis response measures.
- Finance & Reporting: Manage budgets, financial reporting, and impact assessments.
- Strategic Development: Contribute to the vision and expansion of projects in Thailand.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in English; and minimum of basic spoken Thai language.
- Leadership & team management experience in an international education or mobility setting.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in project management, staff training, and partnership development.
- Cross-cultural competence and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and CRM systems.
