Think Pacific Proudly Supports British High Commission Travel Advice Campaign

Published 08/10/2018

Here at Think Pacific, we’re proud to work alongside some amazing people and organisations.

The British High Commission is one of those and we were incredibly humbled and honoured when they decided to pay our July team a visit this summer at  Naqaqa SDA Primary School in Namara, Ra Province.

This gave the Consular team from The British High Commission a chance to see what life was like on a Think Pacific project. We’ve always felt our values are aligned with those of the British High Commission so we were pleased to help them during their campaign to raise awareness for travel advice when coming to Fiji. They wanted to highlight some key aspects that anyone travelling to Fiji should prioritise, namely; respecting the local culture, laws and customs, having travel insurance and keeping your passport safe at all times. We couldn’t agree more with their advice, as these things help ensure volunteers can travel to Fiji with peace of mind and not have any unwelcome surprises during their time in Fiji.

Check out the video below to see how the Consular team got on and some great advice and insights from volunteers Gemma and Nick, who were interviewed during the British High Commission’s visit.

A big thank you to Mr Jarrod Reichman – Consular Regional Oceania Manager (Visiting from Canberra, Australia) and Mrs Jenny Mosese – Consular Official – British High Commission Fiji. We hope you enjoyed your time with us on a Think Pacific project and look forward to working closely on future projects and campaigns together. 🇫🇯 🌴 🙌
