As you know, at Think Pacific, we’re driven by aims, ethics & impact. While we’ve already come a long way since we began, the reality is there is still so much more we can do. This is where you could come in!
We are looking for TP ambassadors from within our wonderful community of past volunteers who understand what our aims & ethics are all about to spread the word at universities – through your attendance at events, social media sharing, course groups, societies or halls etc.
Being a TP Ambassador is all about sharing your experience because this helps us to provide real, authentic & current representations of life on project to future TP volunteers.
From your experiences in Fiji, you know better than anyone that project is just as challenging as it is rewarding – so we want to ensure we are engaging and reaching the best quality of future volunteers through our university partnerships. Which means we can craft the best teams possible and make the biggest impact possible within the rural communities of Fiji!

Apply To Become a TP AmbassadorThe TP Ambassador role is only for past Think Pacific volunteers who have lived and breathed rural Fijian village life, have contributed to TP Foundation’s development aims and understand the pride we take in what we do – particularly when working with our local Fijian partners.
And so, if you have ever been a part of a TP team and are a current or soon to be university student, feel free to apply for the role.
If you are a college student or in the work place, this doesn’t mean you can’t support the TP Foundation through sharing the love, we’d just like you to contact the team directly to have a chat about how we can personally support you in your setting.
As a TP Ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to share all of Fiji’s wonders and its challenges with fellow students at your university. In the hope of supporting others to learn about what contribution they can give to the youths in Fiji, whilst stretching themselves beyond their comfort zone and experiencing some huge personal growth.
The TP Ambassador role varies based on your university’s needs, we find each uni requires a bespoke approach in how to engage, connect and communicate with students. And no one knows that better than YOU – the student!
- Let’s Get Social – Sharing is caring. Simply sharing TP content specific to your university. You never know what a simple share, like, gram could do in helping us to get the word out!
- Talking Fiji – Coming along to student presentations to share your story.
- Attending Events – Representing TP at events such as volunteer fairs & fresher’s fairs to talk all about Fiji and to hand TP goodies out.
- Promoting Presentations – Spread the word about upcoming Think Pacific presentations at your University.
- Inspiring Content – providing pictures, quotes, blog articles, video interviews and cool content of your time in Fiji.
In return for your support of the TP Foundation’s development aims in Fiji, you will be rewarded with;
- Gain vital skills – such as communication, networking, social media marketing, time management and public speaking.
- CV and LinkedIn References – Place TP University Ambassador on your C.V. International volunteering always stands out on a C.V. but furthering that as a brand ambassador demonstrates your commitment and passion. A reference for completing vital steps in spreading the word about our University presentations!
- Ambassador Handbook and Training – Receive a handbook of useful hints and tips on how to perform your role as an ambassador effectively, with examples from past ambassadors. You will also have the opportunity to attend a online training session with TP office staff.
- Ambassador Community – You will be involved in a community of like-minded individuals who have not only experienced Fiji on a deeper level but also share the same passion in wanting to create a bigger community to maximise Think Pacific’s impact.
- Stash – You will be sent some sought after TP Stash for you to rock around campus!
Think Pacific is a UK social enterprise and registered Fijian charity, which works with local government partners to achieve ethical, responsible and sustainable development in remote Fijian communities, whilst allowing gap year and university volunteers to have a safe, structured, worthwhile and rewarding experience.
Every decision a TP team member makes must support TP achieving it’s development aims in Fiji.
The depth of our association with local communities, government departments and organisations within Fiji is unique and unrivalled. Think Pacific is an organisation built upon collaboration and long term partnerships, of which we are very proud. Every expedition is planned, directed and assessed by the communities, provincial councils and the Fijian Ministry to ensure it has vital purpose and long term sustainability. We are respected for working within the framework of the government, adding benefit to long term strategies and the development of rural areas.
